For The Museum's album "My Only Rescue," the band wanted an abstract visual of the redemption and comfort found in God's love. After brainstorming ideas, I quickly recalled a sculpture by studio artist John Howard, that took form of a larger-than-life wrapping wooden orb and fit well with the concept. I contacted John and we made plans to bring the mammoth piece out to a field and set up a photoshoot.
Totaling 6 major structure pieces, and numerous wooden shingles, the sculpture proved to be a beast to set up. But it was all worth it in the end, even despite the Seattle downpour that hit as we starting taking pictures (can you see the rain in the detail?).
